In the late days of last week, the internet and the world as a whole got shocked by the news of the death of Barbara Tommey, 27, who was murdered by her ex-husband, Pastor Sylvester Ofori.
Pastor Ofori has appeared before the court for the first time for murdering his estranged wife and it has been revealed that he has other cases of assault on his late wife leading to his arrest in 2016.
According to an officer who was in the court, the police were called to the residence of Sylvester and his late wife after they had a heated argument back in 2016 which he ended up assaulting Barbara in the process.
the officer stressed that Pastor Sylvester Ofori resisted arrest when police came over to his house but they were able to pick him up and was charged with resisting arrest by the court.
Pastor Ofori appeared before a federal judge in Florida to face charges of first degree murder. Prosecutors read out charges against him and detailed the operation that lead to his arrest.
He is said to have tracked down his estranged wife and shot her in the back, then stood over her as she died and emptied the rest of the bullets in the magazine into her body.
