One NSMQ21 competitor for Ketasco who scored 8 As in WASSCE is currently staying at home because of financial difficulties.
Francis Kwame Sewor, a Keta Senior High Technical School (Ketasco) alumnus who received 8As in the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is still at home. Due to financial constraints, the NSMQ contestant was unable to enroll in a university.
Stan Dugah, a well-known social media user, shared the prodigy’s story on his Facebook page in an effort to raise funds for Sewor. People reacted to the guy’s sad situation.
To further his education, the team leader for the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) has applied for scholarships at Ashesi University and the University of Kwame Nkrumah Technology and Science (KNUST) in Ghana.
He and his team were the first senior high school from the Volta region to reach the NSMQ final. He did not compete in the final, but they did pool a maximum of 53 points for Keta during the semi-final stage. The prodigy is in desperate need of assistance.
