“No be Juju that?”- Hearts of Oak goalkeeper entered the stadium looking like this and still conceded 3 goals
Richmond Ayi, goalie for Hearts of Oak, has received harsh criticism on social media after arriving for their game against Karela United with his face plastered in white powder.
The weird appearance has piqued people’s interest, with some connecting it to black magic, also known as “Juju.” However, it is unclear why the goalie chose to cover his face with powder.
Hearts of Oak were unable to defeat Karela United despite Ayi’s questionable debut. The struggling Karela team dominated the Phobians, winning 3-0 at CAM Park in Aiyinase.
In the 17th minute, Emmanuel Boakye Owusu started the scoring, followed by an own goal by defender Konadu Yiadom, which increased Karela United’s advantage. Richard Berko’s 87th-minute goal clinched the victory.
Hearts of Oak now have the chance to escape the relegation zone and move seven points clear of the top place at the conclusion of matchday 23.
While it is unknown why Ayi chose to conceal his face with white powder, his choice has been widely condemned on social media, with many calling it “backward and unacceptable in modern football.”
