Patricia Asiedua, also known as “Nana Agradaa,” the founder of the Heaven Way church, has been released on a Ghc50,000 bail, provided that she has three sureties.
When the self-proclaimed evangelist returned to the High Court on Monday, where she has been charged with one count of charlatanic advertisement and six counts of defrauding by false pretense, she was granted bail, despite the fact that she had previously been denied bail on two separate occasions.
She has entered a plea of not guilty to each and every charge. However, she will continue to be held in detention as a result of the comparable allegations that were brought against her in the Circuit Court.
As a direct result of this, her appearance in court has been rescheduled for the 26th of October.
‘Nana Agradaa” was taken into custody on the morning of October 9 after being accused of several crimes, including fraud, by individuals associated with her church as well as members of the general public.
According to a statement issued by the police,
Anyone who is a victim of the alleged money doubling scam should report to the Accra Regional Police Command for further action and to assist in the investigation.”
