Nana Aba response to videos of Makola women interrupting hair fair by Nigerian businesswoman
On May 1, 2023, a hair extension fair organized by Nigerian businesswoman, Dr Chi, was disrupted by a group of women causing chaos.
The incident has caused outrage among social media users, with Ghanaian journalist and media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah pointing out that the women were directing their anger at the wrong people.
In a Twitter post, she noted that the real issue is the Chinese who have taken over the retail industry. Dr. Chi addressed the incident on her Instagram page.
The woman made a plea for calm at the hair extension fair and encouraged those causing trouble to leave the venue. She emphasized that she would not lower hair prices due to their behavior.
The incident has sparked a debate on the effect of foreign traders on Ghana’s local markets.
While some Ghanaians are calling for stricter regulations to safeguard local businesses, others believe that foreign traders provide healthy competition, ultimately benefiting consumers.
They’re are barking up the wrong tree, sadly.

The real problem is the Chinese who have wholly taken over the retail industry NOT Nigerians. https://t.co/eociA58BKJ
