Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, former NPP Trade and Industry Minister, has resigned from the NPP’s flagbearer competition following their National Super Delegates Congress.
Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng withdrew from the campaign yesterday, issuing a statement detailing his reasons for doing so.
According to the politician, his decision is based on his performance at the Delegate’s Congress.
He claims that the Special Delegates Conference was intentionally and tactically slanted in favor of one applicant.
He further stated that his polling agents were intimidated and handled improperly since his agent in the North East Region had a major eye injury.
Mr. Alan Kyeremanten indicated in a press statement that he is resigning from the race honorably for the reasons stated above.
Nana Aba Anamoah, Serwaa Amihere, Lydia Forson, Berla Mundi, Afia Schwarzenegger, and other celebrities have reacted to the situation.
Nana Aba Anamoah, for one, took to Twitter to joke after someone asked why Mr. Alan Kyeremanten had given up so quickly.
Berla Mundi wondered if we were on the verge of a third force. She went on to say that she couldn’t wait to hear Alan speak.
