Rajab Abdul, a heartbroken Kenyan, described how his wife abandoned him when their businesses collapsed.
The father of two claimed that despite once catching his wife cheating, he decided to forgive her.
“One day I returned from work and came home to an empty house. She had carried everything including my clothes,” he told TUKO.co.ke in tears.
Rajab claimed that his marriage to his wife was quite wonderful when they first met.
The man claimed that he and his wife had started a fruit business, which had been so successful that they had launched a second fast-food restaurant.
Rajab claimed that the couple, who have a boy and a girl, were doing well when COVID struck.
Yet the global pandemic’s repercussions destroyed every business, which put stress on their marriage as well.
“I remember one day I asked her if she had weighed the meat that was delivered by the supplier to confirm if we were paying for the amount ordered. She got so upset and attacked me with a knife. She cut my leg. I still have a scar to date. I forgave her,”
Things were getting worse, especially since he frequently had to leave town in search of job. He took these steps to make sure he would be able to support his family.
Rajab further remembered his wife being in bed with another man after he had unexpectedly arrived home from work.
“I could not believe it when I saw them on my bed. It hurt so bad. I forgave her because I knew my children would suffer if we separated,”
As long as she stopped her philandering, they agreed to stay together and live together. Rajab was shocked to find the house empty when he returned from work one day. Everything, including his own clothes, was carried by his wife.
“I don’t know what I did to deserve this. It is very painful. I cannot stop thinking about my children. I don’t want them to grow up without me. I would like to tell her to remember that our children need their father even though she no longer wants to be with me,” he said, with tears rolling down his cheeks.
