Dennis Nana Dwamena, better known as Kidi, a Ghanaian afrobeat artiste, has revealed that his son enjoys listening to most of his profane songs.
KiDi has a 5-year-old son named Zayn, and he has spoken about parenting and how his son enjoys listening to dirty songs like “send me nudes and Touch it.”
According to the award-winning musician, even though his son does not understand any of the lyrics in his songs, he enjoys the rhythm and dances to them.
“He likes my dirty songs very much, although he cannot grasp what I’m trying to say. Also, his favorite song the dirtiest song I’ve ever heard in my life is Chris Brown’s ‘Go Crazy’. It gets worse when he watches the music video. He picks up the remote and always wants to go ahead and watch that song,” he said.
Kidi says he lets his son listen to these songs because he wants him to enjoy his childhood without ‘clipping his wings’ or restricting him in any way.
“At his age, I think he is enjoying himself and I don’t want to clip his wings that much. I just allow him to enjoy himself. There is no rule book to parenting. I’m just taking it day-by-day,” he added.
The Ghanaian musician was on Hitz FM, where he told host Andy Dosty that, “You don’t always think about the kids. Sometimes think about the adults too.”
