“My Husband Is Not God, He Cannot Transform Nigeria In Seconds” – First lady Remi Tinubu Defends Husband
The First Lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to exercise patience with her husband as he works towards improving the nation. In her address at the 2023 Independence Day thanksgiving service held at the Inter-denominational church in Abuja, she emphasized that her husband is not a magician but a diligent leader who is committed to repairing the damaged structures of the nation.
According to Mrs. Tinubu, the President is not focused on blaming past administrations but is dedicated to toiling towards the transformation of the country. She noted that his efforts are already yielding positive results, citing the success of their recent trip to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
She further encouraged Nigerians to look beyond their current circumstances and embrace hope for a better future. Drawing from the Christian theme of the celebration, she expressed that good governance can only be impactful if it embodies the fruit of the spirit, including love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and forgiveness.
In her closing remarks, Mrs. Tinubu reassured Nigerians of her husband’s commitment to national development, urging them to have faith in his administration as the best is yet to come.
