“My business is collapsing because of the high cost of fuel”- Actress Emelia Brobbey cries
Emelia Brobbey, a Ghanaian actress, has urged the government to work toward lowering the country’s petroleum prices, citing how the country’s frequent price increases are affecting businesses.
Emelia, who owns a water production company, claims that rising gasoline prices are hurting her business.
Ms. Brobbey told Nana Romeo on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM on Thursday, November 10, 2022, “Ghana is tough. Petrol prices have increased more than tenfold, and it has affected my water production business.”
“The workers are unconcerned about the increase in gasoline prices, which means that as the business owner, I must reinvest my interest in the business.”
“The price increase for gasoline is simply excessive.” I’ll ask the government to take action to address the frequent increases in fuel prices.
They say dumsor is over, but in Kumasi, one of my pure water machines broke down and I had to spend about GHS7000 instantly due to power fluctuations, so they should look at the electricity situation in Kumasi as well,” she added.
