Mother of Christian Student Who Was Burnt To Death Collapses when Her Body Arrived in Niger for Burial.
Deborah Samuel, a student at Sokoto’s Shehu Shagari College of Education who was burnt to death on Thursday for suspected blasphemy, has arrived in Niger State’s Rijau Local Government Area.
Deborah’s mother has been unconscious since learning of her death, according to reports, and her father has been upset.
The family is currently gathering to plan the funeral.
According to reports, the Sokoto State administration asked for the body’s return since it had become official property on its way to Niger State.
Her family, on the other hand, insisted on burying her today.
Emmanuel Maaji, the family’s pastor and the chairman of the 1st ECWA in Tunga Magajiya, indicated that the grieving family is dissatisfied with the government’s handling of the case with child gloves.
Deborah’s body, he added, was taken in a rented bus, and the driver returned to Sokoto immediately after dropping off the body.
He stated that Deborah had resided in Sokoto with family members since she was in primary school.
