An elderly woman has sparked outrage on YouTube after telling Inooro TV investigative journalist Simon Kibe that she and her daughter were imprisoned after they were found not guilty of being involved in her husband’s death.
Peris murdered her husband after she discovered he was sleeping with one of her daughters, according to Esther Wanjeri and his daughter Lucy Wanjiku, even though her relationship with her family was somewhat damaged.
Lucy had been despatched to the shops to grind some floor while Esther was doing the deed. She returned home to see her mother covered in blood on her clothes and hands. Her mother confessed to killing her father in a fit of rage.
Lucy, on the other hand, did not report the incident to the police or anybody else. Instead, the neighbors raised the alarm, forcing Esther and her daughter to be arrested by the police. As a result, Lucy, like her mother Esther, was found guilty and is now serving a life sentence at Lang’ata Women’s Prison.
The two are constantly in prayer, hoping to discover a way out of prison. If they are successful in obtaining their freedom, they admit that their lives will begin anew, since they have received extensive training in preparation for their liberation.
