Mohbad makes history as he occupies top 3 Spots on Billboard’s Top 10 Trending Songs after his death
Mohbad, a popular Nigerian artist, continues to receive notoriety for his music even after his death.
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the music sensation died at the age of 27 and has since taken over musical trends on all platforms.
For the first time in his posthumous career, his tracks reached the coveted Billboard music list.
Billboard recently released their hot trending songs music chart sponsored by Twitter, now called X, and Mohbad took three of the top ten slots.
Mohbad’s Peace, released under the Marlian Music record label in 2022, has acquired prominence following the singer’s death. Some admirers have analyzed its lyrics to see if he was singing about the difficulties he was having in his life prior to his untimely death.
Feel Good, another of Mohbad’s well-known songs, also made its debut on the Billboard music list. Marlian Music also released the song Feel Good in 2021. Mohbad’s lyrics describe him as having numerous foes from whom he is fleeing. He also sang about becoming popular and sought-after while previously being obscure. Feel Good is without a doubt a fan favorite.
Mohbad’s single, Ask About Me, is also on the Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart. After a contentious split with Marlian Music, Mohbad released this song as an independent artist in 2023. Just a week after the music star’s untimely death, Ask About Me has become the fourth most popular music video on YouTube.
