Shatta Wale, the controversial self-proclaimed Dancehall King, has won the hearts of Ghanaians with a compassionate gesture toward a street seller.
Shatta Wale was spotted buying three slices of yogurt from a street vendor in a video that went viral.
Shatta Wale, on the other hand, opted to offer the vendor 500 cedis in return for the three yogurts. His actions moved a lot of Ghanaians.
They dubbed him “the street King” because he was constantly on the side of the hustlers.
Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian rapper, launched a verbal attack on Stonebwoy in a popular video a few weeks ago.
Stonebwoy joined Berla Mundi in a live Twitter space discussion on August 24 to debate the state of the Ghana music industry in light of Nigerian performer Asake’s spectacular O2 stadium event.
When asked about the demands placed on Ghanaian artists to reach the same success as their Nigerian counterparts, Stonebwoy remarked that such pressures would not solve anything until the proper structures were put in place. He remarked that more knowledge about the industry is required to ensure that it expands to the required height.
Shatta Wale disagreed, claiming that Stonebwoy felt pressured to look like them, so he dressed like Burna Boy and went out of his way to draw attention. In the video, Shatta did not hold back.
This is not the first time Shatta Wale has spoken out about his peers in the Ghanaian music industry. He was heavily chastised for his remarks, in which he commended Asake on his O2 Arena performance while criticizing Ghanaian artists for not reaching similar heights.
