A young woman from Ghana has accused her husband of using toilet rolls disguised as money to pay for her bride price.
The woman claims that her husband intentionally put pieces of toilet rolls in envelopes and gave them to her family as payment for his ‘akonta sekan’.
The woman went on a live radio show to discuss the situation. She explained that at first, her husband’s younger brother was accused of replacing the money in the envelopes with toilet rolls.
However, after confronting her husband, he admitted to disguising the toilet rolls as money because he was broke and didn’t want to visit her family empty-handed.
After the revelation, the woman’s family is calling for the marriage to be dissolved. It is unclear what will happen next, but this situation serves as a reminder that honesty is always the best policy.
