The wedding of an engaged couple was jeopardized after their one-and-a-half-year-old Golden Retriever puppy, Chickie, chewed up the man’s foreign passport only days before his wedding in Italy.
According to the New York Post, the man, Donato Frattaroli of South Boston, USA, stated that he and his fiancée went to city hall on Thursday to fill out their marriage documents, just days before their Aug. 31 ceremony.
When they got home hours later, Chickie had bitten through many pages of Frattoroli’s passport.
If he cannot obtain a passport before the flight, the groom-to-be has stated that he will stay at home while his fiancée and their wedding guests travel to Italy without him.
If he is unable to obtain a passport in time for the wedding, he has stated that he will just meet the wedding party when they return to the United States. The pair is set to depart for Italy on Friday, August 25.
