Many people in relationships have erroneous perceptions of their partners. They believe their partners have genuine feelings for them, but when the truth is revealed, it is all an illusion. Some people stick around solely for the small benefits they receive from their partners.
Umunyana Gaudence is nothing like those people. She is the type of person who chooses a partner based on his soul rather than his physical appearance.
In an interview, it is revealed that Damian was born with both arms fully functional. Everything was fine until he was in an accident at work one nite shift. Damian was forced to reveal that a machine at his workplace had severed his arms.
Because he wasn’t used to it, life had been changed to “difficulty level.” He was dating at the time, and when his girlfriend heard about the incident, she burst into tears.
One revelation he made was that his girlfriend accepted his proposal following the incident.
“Though my hands are not functioning properly, my head is functioning properly, I love you and wish you could be my wife,” he claims he told her.
Gaudence accepted the proposal because she was not concerned with her physical appearance, and they are now living happily together.
The couple has three children and is looking forward to experiencing all that life has to offer. Indeed, love transcends the physical. She never gave up on him and continues to support him to this day.
