Armed thieves halted a bullion vehicle in Accra yesterday, killing two persons in the process.
A teenage police officer who was escorting the bullion truck was one of the victims of the tragedy.
The young man’s name was Constable Emmanuel Osei, according to Greater Accra Regional Police PRO DSP Efia Tenge.
He was a member of the National SWAT Unit, she claimed. Tenge added that he was on the lookout for a Nissan van with the registration number GT 8592 that belonged to the Montran firm.
A video of Constable Osei in his final minutes before his death has surfaced. He is dressed in full police uniform and has an AK-47 rifle.
