It is the birthday of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, on September 21, 2021, who would have been 112 years old if he had been living at the time.
During the celebrations of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday, the daughter of Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, Princess Fathia Nkrumah has appeared on social media with gorgeous photographs to mark her grandfather’s day.
Because it is a statutory holiday in Ghana to commemorate Nkrumah, many Ghanaians turned to social media to write messages in honor of the country’s founder.
Princess Fathia joined the throngs of people who had gathered to honor her grandpa. She posted photographs of herself wearing a shirt made from a Ghanaian flag on her social media accounts.
She paired her top with a denim jacket and a pair of denim trousers that were printed with pictures of Kwame Nkrumah.
The first batch of photographs sent by Princess Fathia was a birthday greeting for her grandpa, who she wished a happy birthday and promised to preserve his legacy alive forever.
Nkrumah’s granddaughter captioned the beautiful photos with:
“Happy Birthday Grandpa I will hold you in my heart forever!
And Happy Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day to you all!
