Ghanaian actor now a politician and aspirant for M.P in the Ayawaso West Wouguon consistency, John Dumelo has revealed that as part of his policies that would be put in place when he wins the seat, he is going to push for rent advance to be canceled.
John Dumelo stated that “there is much pressure mounted on tenants when they are asked to pay an advance of 2 or 3 years” so he is going to make sure the Rent Control Act 220 is amended for rents to be paid on a monthly basis.
he stressed that his main motive for this policy is focused on helping the upcoming youth as he said “It’s absurd to pay 2-3 years rent advance. How can the youth survive with this? How can they start businesses like this”.
John Dumelo is hoping to unseat Mad Lydia Alhassan who is the incumbent MP of the Ayawaso West Wouguon Constituency after 7th December’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections on the ticket of the NDC political party.
