Okailey Verse, better known as OV, a former Bhim Nation signee, has disputed media rumors that she is a drug addict.
The MTN hitmaker was in the news a few months ago for her appearance, and many netizens read meaning into it, implying that she was high on drugs and that is what caused her to look that way.
In an interview with Kwaku Manu on his Aggressive Show, OV said that she had never smoked in her entire life.
Apart from smoking, she has never used heavy drugs, contrary to popular belief, although she believes this is due to the way she looks and handles herself.
She also stated that she just drinks wine and does not consume any alcoholic beverages.
“I have never smoked or used hard drugs,” OV remarked. People close to me can attest that the only thing I enjoy is alcohol. I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life.”
The ‘Want Me’ singer, who had been out of the profession for a while owing to health and personal concerns, has returned and is gradually making an impact on the music world.
In the last several days, she has granted interviews and addressed some concerns that she had kept to herself.
OV has already spoken about how her boyfriend abandoned her on the day of their wedding to travel abroad, and she has even challenged Ayisha Modi, a close friend of her old record label, to offer evidence to some of her outlandish charges.
