The Special Prosecutor’s Office was created to supplement the Attorney General’s prosecutorial activities.

Mr Kissi Agyabeng revealed that in addition to married men and women, any personnel planning to marry must notify the office to be verified.
If you are an employee and wish to marry, please contact me so I can vet the person. I will tell you if you can marry the person after the vetting. Then we will have no choice but to fire you,” he declared on Accra’s Peace FM.
Mr Kissi Agyabeng is anticipated to set up the Special Prosecutor’s Office and make corruption in Ghana costly.
The Special Prosecutor has requested Board authority to recruit 250 people.
