“I won’t officiate your wedding because you don’t pay Tithe”- Pastor tells Groom.
A young Ghanaian man took to Facebook to complain about the outrageous conditions his officiating pastor made before agreeing to officiate at his wedding.
According to this man, who has been put in a quandary, he notified his pastor of his intention to have a white wedding to crown the small traditional ceremony he and his wife performed months earlier.
To his astonishment, the pastor asked to see his Tithe card to validate his financial contribution and devotion to the church before proceeding with the wedding.
After confessing truthfully that his contribution was three years late, the pastor sternly admonished him, “You’re not a church member.”
This means that before his marriage could be officiated in the church, he would have to pay all unpaid Tithes.
The man, who is “painfully infuriated” by the pastor’s demands, intends to postpone the wedding in order to put the money toward his wife’s nursing degree.
The problem now is how to persuade his wife to accept his decision.
Meanwhile, his wife’s pastor has requested a “litany of lab testing.” They were also handed a marital questionnaire to fill out, which he describes as “highly preposterous” in several ways.
