Eunice Success, a Nigerian currently residing in Ghana, claims that she was trafficked into prostitution after she brought her to Ghana.
Eunice’s story is a horrifying one. It is a story of how a vulnerable teenage girl was trafficked into the sex industry by her own relative and spending the rest of her life trying to pay off her dept.
Speaking to DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa, Eunice revealed that she had lived and worked with her aunt for a few months before being sold to a woman in Kokomba for GHS2,500. She mentioned selling her body to men as a form of payment.
“I’m fed up and unhappy because I never did this in Nigeria. We stand in front of our rooms here, waiting for them. Those who like me give me the money without sex. I’m the only hope for my family,”
When asked about how much she gains prostitution, Eunice said, “GHS20 or GHS30 per man.” Some of them will have pity, but the normal price they offer is GHS10.”
Furthermore, the young lady mentioned that many young female Nigerians are lured into the nation by friends and relatives with the promise of school, employment, and others.
