I warned my husband about his activism on social media – Wife of murdered #FixTheCountry activist reveals

Ibrahim Muhammed, 40, died after being beaten to a pulp by a crowd, and his wife, Zahada Hudu, told Citi News that she had urged her husband to quit his social engagements, fearing he would be murdered.

The widowed mother of six wants the Ghana Police Service to speed up investigations into her husband’s brutal murder so that the criminals are apprehended.

Ibrahim Muhammed, who was also a part of the Economic Fighters League and, more recently, the #FixTheCountry movement, was reportedly attacked by a crowd at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021.

Some inhabitants of Sabonline, a Zongo hamlet in the Ejura district, heard his cries for aid, but they arrived late to find him comatose.

Macho Kaaka, alias Ibrahim Muhammed, was taken to the Ejura Sekyeredumase District Hospital.

He was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital once the severity of his injuries was assessed.

On Monday, June 28, 2021, the social activist finally passed away.

Madam Zahada Hudu claims that her late husband used social media to expose issues in Ejura, notably abandoned government projects that he felt should be addressed by the state players.

Since he had been warned by some unknown parties before the incident, she feels his activities may have inspired other people to attack him.

Madam Zahada Hudu, who was shocked by the occurrence, requested that her late husband be given justice.

“We heard a loud noise in the house in the early hours of Saturday morning. At the time, I assumed my husband was chasing the goats away from the home. I was completely unaware that he was being attacked. We came across him in a puddle of blood. As soon as we opened the door to see what was going on, the people bolted. “

Prior to the incident, she stated that her late husband told her that he had been warned to stop using social media.

“He told me before the attack that he had been warned not to post certain issues on social media. I even advised him to quit because it could lead to his death, but he refused. The person who gave the warning to my husband is someone I know. We want the police to undertake comprehensive investigations so that the offenders can be apprehended,” she told Citi News.

Meanwhile, local cops claim they have started an inquiry into the incident. They claim, however, that no arrests have yet been made.

As a result, the police are appealing to locals for information that will lead to the arrest of the culprits.
