“I told my wife’s boss to continue sleeping with her”- Husband reveals reason why he did that in court

Stephen Oyediran, a Nigerian man, told the Mapo Grade A Customary Court how his wife’s alleged chronic adultery compelled him to instruct one of her lovers to take her away and sleep with her.

He also sought the court to terminate his eight-year marriage due to the public perception of his wife’s infidelity.

Worse still, Busayo is into extramarital affairs with the headmaster of the school where she now teaches in Ibadan,” added the beleaguered husband.

When I could no longer bear the embarrassment, I told the headmaster to stick to Busayo and leave my three children for me to take care of. This is the reason why the headmaster got me arrested.”

The man further said his wife’s perpetual unfaithfulness made him aware that they were not meant not to be together.

After Busayo (estranged wife) agreed to marry me in Ondo, I never knew that she was still sleeping with (other) men. When she eventually moved in with me, I noticed that Busayo was living a flamboyant life and not ready to receive instructions from me,” the plaintiff told the court.

In addition, she was always looking for opportunities to go to Ondo to meet her concubine.”
He added that he saw some secret love messages between his wife and another man.

He further informed the court that his wife had rented an apartment “close to the headmaster’s home.”
Mr. Oyediran bemoaned, “With my little earnings, I have been doing all I could to cater for her and the children.”

His wife, however, took a different view on the situation, telling the court that her husband is merely making things up to evade his responsibilities.

My lord, Oyediran initially denied responsibility, claiming that he impregnated me for our first child. After accepting it, he begged me, and we moved on.

Oyediran could no longer pay the children’s school fees and we shouldered the responsibility together because I teach in that school,” she explained.

The estranged wife added that her husband “kept accusing me of insulting his mother which I never did.”

The divorce-seeking wife added, “Oyediran no longer informs me about anything he wants to do. Also, Oyediran has denied me access to our first male child because he has taken him to his hometown in Awe, Oyo State, where his relatives live.”

Following the conclusion of both sides’ arguments, the court’s president, S.M. Akintayo, adjourned the case until March 18 for a decision.
