Shatta Michy told Halifax on Okay FM’s Best Entertainment program that she never finished high school and instead went straight to university.
When Shatta Wale’s baby mother went over to promote her new single, ‘Nautica,’ she made it known. She also took the opportunity to caution parents not to repeat the same mistake with their children, no matter how intelligent they are.
“I will tell parents that regardless of how brilliant their children are, if the child is smart enough to leave SHS for University, consider the possibility that the child is smart but not mentally ready,” she said.
She went on to remark that she had a lot of freedom in her situation, which she made the most of.
”It was the freedom in my situation; it’s like if you’ve been confined at home for so long and then you’re at university. This is the kind of independence I yearned for as a sixteen-year-old.”
Michy also stated that she worked in marketing at the University of Wisconsin while pregnant. She also stated that she had a Cambridge certificate, but that she does not consider it part of her C.V. due of her tattoo.
