Popular Nigerian actress Ini Edo has disclosed how she gave birth to her daughter in other to have a peace of mind.
The actress said this during an interview with Lilian Afegbai on her talk show “Lilian’s Couch.” The actress just became a mother for the first time, and she did so through surrogacy.
She answered a question regarding the process of coming to love another person by saying,
“The reality is that you can genuinely love someone more than you love yourself.” Suddenly, you are not as significant as the person you were talking about before.
“I’m the kind of person who loves both my own company and the privacy of my own place. But then you come to the realization that when you first wake up in the morning, you are not thinking about yourself at all. This occurs before you even begin to think about yourself. You are considering your kid, aren’t you?
Back in December, the well-known actress revealed to Stella Dimoko that she had become a mother through the surrogacy procedure.
In response to the criticism she received at the time, she stated, “Yes, I do have a daughter, and I had her through surrogacy.” Her genetic composition is similar to mine because the eggs originated from my body. I took the decision to go in this way in order to achieve my long-term objective of having a family.
“I still have a fair number of eggs stored in case I decide to do surrogacy again or carry my kid myself,” she said. “It all depends on whether or not I decide to carry my baby myself.” Who is to say?
When asked about the identity of her child’s father, the famous actress admitted that she opted to have the surgery performed by a donor in order to have “peace of mind.”
“I chose a donor for the sake of both my peace of mind and the peace of mind of my kid. Because it frightens me so much when I see banter and controversies between a mother and a father over a baby in public forums or when I see the man insisting he wants his child if things don’t work out between both parties, one of the primary reasons I decided to go with a donor was because of this. “It scares me so much when I see banter and controversies between a mother and a father over a baby in public forums.”
