‘I married my teacher though he is 27-years older than me’ – Lady Reveals
A beautiful lady has described her love for a university professor despite their 27-year age difference.
Mariam Trela met Grzegorz Trela, 53, while studying philosophy at the same university in Morogoro, Tanzania.
When Grzegorz took Mariam on their first date in May 2017, he said it was ‘love at first sight.
They married in July 2018 and had their son Ignacy, three, who is often mistaken for Grzegorz’s grandson.
Many people tell my husband about our son: ‘what a beautiful grandson’, Mariam, who lives in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, said.

“Perhaps due to my husband’s grey hair, this happens frequently. So when people see our whole family, they probably think “mother, son, grandfather.”
“And when they find out I’m his wife, they envy him his young, attractive wife, and think I’m just after his money.
“My husband isn’t even wealthy.
“I saw Grzegorz, a lecturer, walking between buildings. Because he was one of the few Europeans at the university, he stood out.
The other European missionaries were lecturers, so I assumed he was a priest.
“We met on Facebook and started writing, he had no idea I was studying at the same university he worked at.
“When he found out I was in Morogoro, he offered to meet in person and introduce himself.
“In this sense, the university brought us together, but I was never his student, and we had no academic relations.”
The couple discussed the stereotypes they’ve faced due to their 27-year age difference and interracial relationship.
“In Tanzania, some people believe the stereotype ‘white is rich.’
“Prejudices exist in Poland because there are few people of color living here.
“Our differences include gender, age, religion, culture, politics, and life experiences.
We learn from each other over time, and this is perhaps the most fascinating aspect of our relationship. We keep discovering.”
After telling their family and friends, they turned to Instagram and YouTube to document their lives for their son.
“I opened the YouTube channel with our son in mind,” she said. We wanted to save as much of our everyday life for our son as we could.
“Most of the feedback we get is positive.
“I adore him, he adores me, and we both adore our son.
We overcame our cultural differences by patiently learning from each other.
