Kennedy Agyapong, a prominent Member of Parliament (MP) from Assin Central, Ghana, recently disclosed that he had nearly purchased a private jet, having made an initial deposit of $1m towards the purchase. However, he changed his mind following a conversation with a young female real estate agent from Dubai.
The MP, renowned for his wealth and business acumen, revealed that the agent’s insightful question led him to reconsider his investment options. She asked him why he would not direct his substantial resources into real estate investments, rather than spending on what she termed a ‘vanity project’. This interaction caused Agyapong to rethink his decision, ultimately leading him to invest that money into real estate.
Agyapong asserts that this prudent decision has resulted in him owning over 257 houses in Ghana alone, a substantial increase from his prior holdings. He believes this to be a more profitable and sustainable investment, demonstrating a keen sense of financial acuity.
While the MP has decided to forgo the private jet for now, he stated that it is still a future aspiration. His current focus, however, remains on expanding his wealth and business prospects.
