Nana Yaw Maradona, also known as Guru, a Ghanaian singer, and entrepreneur, revealed some insights about his family history in a recent interview with Zionfelix on the Uncut show.
While many Ghanaians claim to hail from poor families, Guru revealed that this was not the case in his instance.
The way his parents lived at Darkuma when he was growing up suggested that they were incredibly wealthy.
The ‘Pooley’ hitmaker stated that his mother and father were the epitome of what a Ghanaian would call a ‘borga’ because they spent most of their lives in Europe and amassed a lot of property and money through their hard work.
Guru went on to say that, while it may sound shocking, his parents bought him a car when he was admitted to secondary school at the time, and as a result, he began driving his automobile while he was in his first year of secondary school.
The CEO of NKZ Music went on to say that his other siblings, a brother and a sister, were in the same situation.
Guru also claimed that his wealthy parents despised the concept of him venturing into music at a time when they expected him to take his education seriously and create something greater in his life.
