“I feel like going back to the world, ever since I took Christ i don’t get shows to play”- Kesse
Kesse, the TV3 Mentor Four winner, admitted he wishes he could return to the world after four years of accepting Christ, but his vow to God forbids it, no matter how much he wants to.
Kesse said to Graphic Showbiz that he doesn’t get shows to play his Christian music.
“Becoming a born-again Christian hasn’t been easy, particularly since my secular engagements have stopped. Sometimes I want to return to the world, but a pledge to God prevents me
“I’ve accepted that being a child of God won’t be all roses,” he remarked.
“Every sincere believer has problems, but there’s always a way out,” the artist remarked to motivate himself. You won’t suffer forever.
“The beginning may be rough, but the conclusion counts, and I don’t regret knowing God.
“Nope. I had to ditch pals who would get me into trouble so I could concentrate on God’s job, he said.
The VGMA Male Vocalist of the Year for 2012 underlined that Christ is now his major focus.
Some previously secular musicians who converted to Christianity and released gospel music failed. My career in gospel music is not my main focus.
The 2007 Mentor competition winner for TV3 declared, “Finding Christ is my greatest happiness.”
Kesse, whose real name is Michael Kesse Frimpong, is an Accra-based musician and vocalist.
Kesse’s 2012 Reggae-Dancehall song “Oh Yes” helped him gain fame. He was the Runner-up in Project Fame West Africa’s second season.
