“I Don’t Want To Have Anything Doing With My Brother, He Don’t Respect Women” – Kevin-Prince Boateng
Renowned Ghanaian footballer, Kevin-Prince Boateng, has publicly distanced himself from his brother, Jerome Boateng, over allegations of domestic violence. Jerome Boateng, who chose to represent Germany in international football, was recently found guilty of assaulting his former partner, a charge that led to a hefty fine of nearly two million Euros.
The case has sparked widespread controversy, with criticism targeting Jerome’s former club, Bayern Munich, for their dismissive stance on the matter, branding it a ‘private issue.’
Speaking on the Five UK podcast with Rio Ferdinand, Kevin-Prince Boateng declared he and his brother have ceased communication due to the scandal surrounding Jerome’s actions. “I distanced myself from Jérôme a long time ago. I value and respect German law. I abhor violence against women! I don’t identify with my brother’s attitudes and that’s why I no longer have anything to do with him,” he explained.
Kevin-Prince Boateng, who opted to play for Ghana at the international level, has made 15 appearances for the Black Stars and scored two goals. His strong stance against violence towards women has emphasized his commitment to respect and equality, both on and off the football field.
