“I don’t want my daughter to become like me when she grows”- Afia Schwarzenegger
Adiepena Gieling Amankona, the daughter of Ghanaian comedian Afia Schwarzenegger, is not to be like her mother, according to Afia.
She wants her daughter to write her own story , claims the contentious “Queen of Comedy.”
At her daughter Pena’s eighth birthday celebration, Afia Schwarzenegger gave an interview to ZionFelix and said this.
“I don’t want her to be anybody but herself. My parents didn’t choose who I was going to be. I don’t want Pena to be like me, neither do I want her to be like Oprah Winfrey. I don’t want Pena to be like Queen Elizabeth, or Michelle Williams. I want Pena to write her own story,” she told Zion.
According to Afia Schwarzenegger, writing your own story requires remaining true to yourself, whether or not you are appreciated.
“Whether you like me or not you can’t wipe away my story, and whether good or bad, I have written my story,” she stated.
When asked if she has written a good/bad story for herself, she said,
“I don’t give a fuck. This is my honesty, this is my loyalty.”
