“I didn’t cry when my daughter died, I was very happy”- Woman reveals why.

Maryanne Njambi is a strong woman whose loss teaches acceptance and letting God’s will be done. She lost a twenty-year-old daughter as a result of a misdiagnosis made when she was fifteen.

Maryanne revealed that her daughter Mobese was a healthy child until the age of fifteen when she began coughing. They initially mistook her cough for a common cold because she was given antibiotics at the hospital.

Even after several visits to the hospital, the cough did not go away. She was diagnosed with tuberculosis after additional tests. She used drugs for a year and did not recover.

Instead of helping, the drugs harmed her lungs, leaving them with holes and an irreversible condition. That’s when they realized she had a different illness than tuberculosis.

The doctors psychologically prepared Maryanne for the fact that her daughter would die regardless of what she did. The medication she was given for four years was only to extend her life.

That medication also had severe side effects, as it damaged her nerves and spine, causing her to be unable to walk. She was in a lot of pain, but she was always close to God.

Maryanne and her sister did not sleep the entire night on the day she died because she was restless. They witnessed her last breath while she was in her wheelchair, but Maryanne did not cry.

She stated that she was relieved that her daughter was no longer alive because she would be free of the pain she had been experiencing for the past five years. She couldn’t complain because it was God’s plan for things to turn out that way.

She believes her daughter is now an angel because she had a strong faith in God when she was sick. During her final days on earth, she made certain that they had weekly holy communion as a family led by a nun.
