Dr. Sonnie Badu, a gospel musician, is ditching his afro in favor of short hair, as he announced in a Facebook post.
The gospel minister based in the United Kingdom has kept his hair untouched for months, just like Sampson in the Bible.
Despite the fact that his hair appeared to be short, a recent photo shared by Dr. Badu shows that it has grown in inches. When straightened, the singer’s hair can reach his shoulders.
However, he has revealed that if his wife approves, he will ditch his old look.
“I’m about to cut my hair… what do you think? So, Ivory Coast, do you want to see me with or without it? Let me know, but please keep in mind that my wife has the final say “Sonnie Badu, who is scheduled to perform in Ivory Coast in April, made the statement.
Fans’ reactions to his question have been mixed.
While others were saddened by the news, some of his fans expressed their support, stating that his current appearance does not fit a gospel musician.
