Akwasi Boateng says Hajia Bintu and other top social media goddess are not yet to be called actresses – they are just photo models.
Top entertainment pundit, Akwasi Boateng, has in an interview expressed displeasure at how many young ladies are tag as actresses because of the numbers they make on social media.
Akwasi Boateng who focused this discussion mostly on the TikTok and Instagram goddess, Hajia Bintu, said the actress title must be given based on content.
Hajia Bintu, for some time now, has made a name for nicely acting out TikTok videos and partly because of her very curvaceous body. With this, many say she is a good actress.
But According to the entertainment pundit, the beautiful Hajia Bintu only has content to be tagged as a photo model and not an actress as many call her now.
“The content she has now can grow her brand as a photo model and not as an actress,” Akwasi Boateng told NYDJ on YFM’s ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show. “Every content has a particular career that it pursues.”
He added, “She puts out pictures and people like them. She could even get brand endorsements from that but that doesn’t make her an actress”.
He finally stressed that, “the basic requirement for one to pass for an actress is the ability to have content. A content that can sell to the general public without a struggle. Once there is a material that the public is willing to consume, then the person can get a certain mileage.”
