After being trolled and labeled as “low budget,” a man who wore blue jeans and a black dashiki to his white wedding has finally responded.
Conam-Moses Orseer Anyamikegh is the groom whose pictures went viral after he was photographed on his wedding day in “unconventional” clothing, according to many.
Many people who saw these pictures couldn’t imagine why a man or groom would like to wear such clothing because his bride is always clad in a white wedding gown.
The wedding pictures from the ceremony at the NKST Church Iortyer in Makurdi on March 6, 2021 have flooded social media.
But, in response to the trolls and backlash, Moses said at the thanksgiving ceremony on Sunday, March 7, that his choice of dress had little bearing on the result or progress of their union.
He said:
“It’s a Sunday, a day after our wedding, and we are full of Thanksgiving! To God we return all glory, to men of goodwill we say thank you!,” he wrote.
“One thing I (The Husband) would say is, the wedding has come and gone. The varying opinions and debates about my simple outfit does not define how our marriage would be
“There has never been a perfect wedding nor marriage, but when two hearts agree to accommodate their imperfections like we have done, there’s very little wedding suits or gowns can do to change that resolve
“We love all of you and God bless all of you for being part of our big day. My wife and I are grateful, cheers!”
