Government redraws E levy from Parliament (here is why)

According to startling news reaching Us, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has agreed to remove the controversial E-levy from Parliament on behalf of the Ghanaian government.

There is, however, a catch… The pullout is to allow for return following a thorough review and possible rate decrease by the Finance Minister.

The Deputy Majority Leader made this information public.

The administration will remove the contentious fee on Tuesday, February 15, according to Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

The Effutu MP stated the government will reintroduce the E-levy on Friday, February 18, when he presented the business statement for Parliament next week.

According to Parker Wilson of Joy News, the levy will be restored at a revised percentage of 1.5.
