Freezy Macbones, a Ghanaian boxer based in the United States, arrived in Ghana a few days ago to prepare to qualify for and represent Ghana at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The now-trending fighter took advantage of the opportunity to reunite with his daughter, who he claims has been away from her for 11 years.
In a Facebook post, Macbone apologized to his daughter for his absence over the years.
“Sometimes I feel like a bad father…,” he wrote. I haven’t spent enough time with my daughter. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet her since she was born. Because of a life decision. I’ve been through a lot in my life, but when I get home and call her on FaceTime, she gives me the strength to keep going.”
According to him, whenever he feels depressed, the sight of her photo makes him want to run faster and fight harder. “Whenever I’m feeling down, I just look at my lift hand, look at her face, and look at my sprint rise and want to do more,” he wrote.
@michell_nyantakyiwaa_gyimah, Daddy adores you.
