Endurance, a popular dancer from Ghana and a member of the DWP academy, recently shared her story of running away from home at the young age of 16 to pursue her dreams. She left her home in Nigeria and traveled to Ghana by canoe to become a footballer.
Unfortunately, Endurance faced some challenges in her pursuit of becoming a footballer. Some coaches wanted her to do inappropriate things before giving her a spot on their teams. Endurance refused to compromise her values and decided to quit.
After leaving football, Endurance discovered her passion for dancing. She started posting dance videos on social media and quickly gained a large following. Her talent caught the attention of top artists in Ghana, and she has since been featured in their music videos.
Endurance’s story teaches us that pursuing our dreams can be challenging, but it’s important to stay true to ourselves and not compromise our values. Sometimes, we may need to change our path and try something new, like Endurance did when she discovered her love for dancing.
