The Ghana Police Service has released information regarding how Albert Donkor, a robbery suspect, died while in their custody.
The police stated in a statement on Tuesday that they had received information that the deceased, Albert Donkor, and five other suspected armed robbery gangs were involved in many robberies in Nkoranza on April 19 and 20.
Albert Donkor was later apprehended at his home about 2 a.m. on April 24, 2022, in an unregistered vehicle while participating in an anti-armed robbery operation.
The suspect was shot and killed while being brought to the Holy Family Hospital for medical treatment, according to the police.
