An enraged white woman has blasted the Ghanaian government for the difficulties she had in obtaining a National Identification card.
In a self-recorded video, the lady disclosed that she paid thousands of cedis for a dwelling permit, therefore, she doesn’t see why she needs to pay even more money to get a Ghana Card.
The young lady accused the people in charge of identity cards of extorting her.
She also stated that most locals had to wait in long lines for hours before being seen.
The NIA said in a statement dated June 11, 2023, signed by the acting Head of Corporate Affairs, Col. Peter Kwame Ghansah (Rtd), that these centers will operate in addition to the Premium Centers at the NIA and CalBank Head Offices in Accra, including Ashanti, Eastern, and Western Regional offices, a few months ago.
According to the statement, the premium registration centers will provide fee-based registration services such as first-time registration and issuance of a Ghana Card (GH280), replacement of lost, missing, or damaged cards (GH110), and updating personal records that require the printing of new cards (GH110).
It appears that some people are demanding high amounts for those who want it faster.
