family of five dies in an accident while returning from Watch Night on the 31st of December in Central Region
A family of five at Assin Anyinabrem in the Assin South District of the Central Region perished in a car accident on their way home after the 31st all-night worship.
The family, which consisted of five children aged one to eighteen, was traveling in a saloon automobile bearing the registration plate WR-38-14 which got involved in a collision with an articulated truck.
The family was coming from night worship in another town, according to Yaw Boagyan, Starr News’ Central regional correspondent.
They were reportedly traveling from Kumasi to Cape Coast when the driver lost control and crashed head-on with a DAF articulator truck registered GN-9828-20 and operated by one Yakubu Abass, a 43-year-old man without insurance.
Six of the injured were confirmed dead upon arrival at Assin Fosu’s St. Francis Xavier Hospital. Meanwhile, the corpses of the deceased have been deposited at St. Xavier Hospital’s morgue
