”Expect your payments on or before 2025” – Nam1 to Menzgold customer
Some people in this country appear to have the entire government apparatus in their wallets, and Nana Appiah Mensah, nicknamed Nam1, must be one of them.
The CEO of the now-defunct Menzgold dealership made headlines after sending a message urging clients who had their payments stuck to pay a fee of GH650 in order to get their payments validated or risk losing them.
This order did not sit well with Ghanaians, who publicly mocked and spoke out against it, urging the government to rise up and imprison the Zylofon boss, but this again fell on deaf ears.
Recent events suggest that consumers who accepted the risk of paying such a large sum to have their payments authenticated have been informed that they will receive their monies before 2025. This is in response to a screenshot of one of these clients going viral on the internet.
