After being shot in the head by armed persons in broad daylight yesterday, videos and photographs of Late Constable Emmanuel Osei are still circulating on social media.
The robbery of the bullion van took place in the early hours of June 14th in Adedenko, a neighborhood of Accra’s James Town.
General Constable Emmanuel Osei of the national SWAT team and an eyewitness identified as Afua Badu, 40, were killed in the robbery. The van’s driver was also left fighting for his life at the Korle Bu hospital.
Constable Emmanuel Osei’s farewell message and videos appear to have been captured in a viral social media post before he was killed in a gunfight.
The message was emphasizing the fact that no human on the planet will live indefinitely, and that everyone will die one day–as if he already knew his time was up.

The Ghana Police Force has spoken out about the incident, promising Ghanaians that they will investigate it thoroughly.
DSP Efia Tenge, the Greater Accra Regional Police PRO, stated that the police are doing everything possible to apprehend every suspect involved in the crime, and that the police are pleading with anyone with valid information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
The corpses of the deceased are being preserved and autopsied at the Police Hospital, while the bullion van driver is claimed to be undergoing treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
