‘Every Country Is Currently In Crisis – Akufo-Addo Tells Poor Ghanaians
Ghana’s problems, according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, are shared by many other countries throughout the world.
He cited the coronavirus epidemic as a source of concern.
Our country, like any other in the world, is dealing with problems caused by Covid-19.
“Ghana is far from the only country dealing with record global freight rates, tightening global financing conditions, and rising fuel prices.
President Akufo-Addo paid a visit to former and current St. Augustine’s College students on Saturday, March 19, to commemorate the school’s 92nd Speech and Prize-giving Day.
He reassured Ghanaians that the Ghana Coronavirus Alleviation and Revitalisation of Enterprise Support (CARES) Programme will assist them in getting out of the woods sooner rather than later.
“I am confident that our economy would rapidly rebound from the pandemic’s devastation, delivering stability, growth, progress, and prosperity to all Ghanaians.”
The recent increase in gasoline prices has increased the cost of living, with tickets and commodities expected to rise in the coming weeks.
The President promised that severe but necessary steps would be taken to repair the economy.
