Ernest Opoku Recalls Heartbreak: After a lifetime of saving to marry a lady, she sent me an invitation to her wedding with someone else.

Ernest Opoku, a gospel musician from Ghana, recalled how he sobbed uncontrollably when he received an invitation to the wedding of the woman he intended to wed.

Early in his profession, according to Ernest, he developed feelings for a woman he met at church and made all the appropriate preparations to marry her.

He said that he paid for her education, gave her expensive gifts, and looked after her parents, all in an effort to one day wed her.

But his hopes were dashed when his fiancée disclosed she was engaged to another guy after all the money had been spent.

Ernest Opoku claimed she gave him an invitation to her wedding, which only served to make matters worse. He was hurt, but he made the decision to go see for himself.

The gospel singer recalled a tragic day by saying he arrived at the site in the Ashanti Region’s Ejisu very early to have a seat that would give him a good view of the bride and groom.

Ernest stated to Emelia Brobbey, host of the Okukuseku show on Adom TV, that he wanted to examine the groom to determine if he was truly more deserving than him.

“I was very calm and composed until the officiating minister said ‘You may kiss your bride’, he recalled.

As he saw his dear ex-girlfriend sharing a kiss with her husband at that same moment, Ernest claimed his heart began to beat more quickly and tears began to fall from his eyes. Then he understood that his “bad investment” was a mistake.

After experiencing his first breakup, Ernest Opoku claimed he promised never to fall in love with the wrong person again.
