“E levy will only make life difficult in Ghana”- Kwaku Manu

The electronic levy (E-levy) implemented by the ruling party is one of the most talked-about initiatives.

Many Ghanaians, particularly those without any political affiliation, were vocal in their opposition to the E-levy until it was recently enacted into law by the Ghanaian parliament and signed by the president of the Republic of Ghana.

The debate over the E-levy’s passing into law is still ongoing, and award-winning actor Kwaku Manu recently stated in an interview that he does not favor it.

The passage of the E-levy tax, according to Kwaku, is not what the country requires right now because it will generate further hardship.

People who are struggling to buy their dialy bread would frequently call people who are a little better-off and ask for money, according to Kwaku Manu. What this means is that those who are attempting to ease the situation of the ‘poor’ will suffer much more.

He concluded by recommending people to work hard and pray rather than relying on politicians to improve their lives because it is highly improbable that they will ever be able to assist them.
