Don’t spend on your girlfriend unless it’s her birthday – Akrobeto supports Akumaa Mama Zimbi in new video

A few days ago, Ghanaian media personality and marriage counselor Akumaa Mama Zimbi encouraged men not to spend money on their partners unless it was their birthday.

In light of her admission, Akwasi Boadi, aka Akrobeto, a comedian and TV host, has reinforced her point of view and stated his position on the topic.

According to Akrobeto, certain girls are really unreasonable when it comes to dating. Women not only demand money unreasonably, but they also want their boyfriends to cover unexpected expenses.

“What Akumaa Mama Zimbi said is correct. You don’t have to buy gifts for your girlfriend all the time. According to Akumaa, when it is her birthday, you can plan a wonderful birthday parcel for her, but for certain females, as soon as you start dating them, they start demanding hospital costs the next day.

Do I resemble a doctor or someone who sells drugs?”You don’t have to put your financial burden on someone just because you are in a relationship with them.”

Recounting his personal experience with his fiancée, the actor revealed that she called to ask for money to pay her mother’s hospital fees because she required a blood transfusion.

He explained that he then requested to speak with a doctor, but she refused because he demanded payment first. He also inquired whether she had called them for aid, but they, too, were cash-strapped.

With his trademark laugh, the actor said, “God have mercy on us.” So, how much do you require? She stated that she only had GHC100 and needed another GHC100. So she was going around the hospital with only GHC100 in her pocket and calling me for the remainder. She may have even split the bill in half. But I did it because I felt sorry for her and had the means to assist her. She called again, and before she could say anything, I told her I was out of town and hung up.”
